Built for the person whose name is on the booking sheet.
Four Drills exists because roughly 100,000 UK premises (village halls, churches, pubs, gyms, small theatres, wedding barns) are about to acquire a legal duty most of them will meet at 9pm on a Tuesday, unpaid, after the committee meeting. The guidance is genuinely good. It's also 129 pages. We read it professionally so you can meet it practically.
We're independent. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of the Home Office, the Security Industry Authority, ProtectUK or any government body. Independence is a feature: our only incentive is that your procedures actually work and your records actually hold up.
Three promises
- If the law doesn't apply to you, we'll say so, free, in writing.
- We'll never charge for anything the government provides free.
- Every sentence in your pack traces to the statutory guidance. Ask us and we'll show you the paragraph.
Who's behind this
I'm Graham, and Four Drills is built and run by me. My day job is Drone Imagery Services: I survey and inspect buildings for a living, from roofs to whole sites, for people who need to know the true state of a structure without guesswork. Martyn's Law caught my attention because I kept seeing the same gap: the venues it covers are mostly run by ordinary people, treasurers and licensees and hall committees, who were about to be handed 129 pages of guidance and no practical way through it. Nobody was building for them, so I did. If you email us, I'm the human who answers.
Independence
Four Drills is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of the Home Office, the Security Industry Authority (SIA), ProtectUK or any government body.
